Núria Martinez Seguer (Santa Coloma de Gramenet, 1973).
PhD in Fine Arts in the specialty of Image from the University of Barcelona.
Since 1998 she has been a professor of Photography at the EASD Serra i Abella of the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
She carries out creative projects in the audiovisual and photographic field. She has exhibited and participated in: The whole space (Barcelona, 1993), Spongia (Barcelona, 1994), Marginal perceptions (1996), The silence of boxing (Barcelona, 2006), Nommer Femme belle de jour (Zaragoza, 2010) , 3 looks (Barcelona, 2011), Soul Round (Barcelona, 2012), éphémère (Barcelona, 2013) and Città (Barcelona, 2017- Santa Coloma de Gramenet, 2019).
She has been selected among the finalists of renowned competitions such as Injuve Video Creation (Madrid, 1998), Young Creators (Madrid, 2002), Descubrimientos PHE02 femeninos (Madrid, 2002), Fujifilm Euro Press Photo Awards (Rome, 2004), Art Mix (Barcelona, 2009), Fem (Valencia, 2010), Gènesi BAC (Barcelona, 2011), Festival de Miradas de Mujeres FMM13 (Barcelona, 2013), Screen Festival 2013 LOOP_HFM # 18 (Barcelona, 2013), Arts Libris (Barcelona, 2013), Gracs © Tangible Magazine (Barcelona, 2013), On photography (4) La Virreina Centre de la Imatge (Barcelona, 2017) and Paper Territories (Barcelona, 2018).
Her authorial photographic work, partly focused on sport, includes her interest in boxing with an aesthetic language of contrasts and formal forcefulness: In 2004 she won the First National Prize at the Euro Press Photo Awards, in the Sports category, exhibited at the Palazzo Venezia in Rome.
