Conxi Duro
Born in Mataró in 1970. She graduated in Art History from the University of Barcelona and obtained a Master’s degree in Advanced Studies in Art History from the same university. She began her artistic studies at the Pau Gargallo School of Art and Design in Badalona and specializes in Illustration. She studied Advertising Photography and Author Photography and Project Creation at Idep Barcelona. She currently focuses her interests on the history of local photography and has recently curated the 100-year-old El Mataró Exhibition. The Pineda photographic collection of the Museu Arxiu and has published The beginnings of photography in Mataró in the magazine Fulls del Museu Arxiu of Santa Maria de Mataró, Center for Local Studies. She is a member of the ACPA Research project team with Joan Ramon Triadó and Rosa Maria Subirana Rebull, as Principal Investigators. She has been working as a freelance professional photographer since 2003 and has participated in various individual and group exhibitions: Performer-ARTS, Artistic Couples, Clandestinities of a Camera, Bodies, Illustrated Looks, Fleeing from the Referent.
