The celebration of St. George’s Day 2021 had a photographic component with two sides. On one side, the fact of having exceeded one hundred copies of the Fotoconnexió Fund of publications on photography and audiovisual that is in the CRAI Library of Philosophy, Geography and History of the University of Barcelona (https://crai.ub.edu/ca/coneix-el-crai/biblioteques/biblioteca-filosofia-geografia-historia) and, on the other hand, the participation of various members in the publication of books on photography.

That is why, in the first place, we spoke with Anna Clavell, responsible for the indicated Library, who explained the characteristics of the Fotoconnexió collection and its inclusion in the UB catalog. We continued with a round table with Beatriz Sánchez Torija, María de los Santos García Felguera and Xavier Goñi Gracenea, three fotoconnected people who have either published books on photography alone or coordinated them (in addition to participating with texts).

The main objective of the event was to explain to us those most hidden aspects, the problems and solutions of, for example, the adaptation of a doctoral thesis to a book, the management of a research on the evolution of portrait galleries, or the publication of volumes that collect the content of exhibitions.
