On Tuesday, November 10th, we celebrated the 181st anniversary of the first daguerreotype made in Spain. Due to the covid-19, it was celebrated with a broadcast on Instagram Live that starts a new activity, FotoInstants, where a number of collectors will present their collection.

We started this activity with Jordi Baron, photographer and collector, who focused on encapsulated portraits: daguerreotypes, ambrotypes, colorful albumens …

He showed us daguerreotypes of Voelker, Napoleon, Franck, Bellver, Moliné and Albareda, Belvedere, Lorichon, Martínez (from Havana, Cuba), Mattey, Massaguer, Eusebi Planas, dance cards with daguerreotype, and large colored paper portraits.
